We’re looking for a talented, ambitious and super hands on social media superstar to drive awareness, excitement and talkability around all things WeSwap and help build our amazing online community.

At WeSwap, we’re building the best way to spend abroad – ever.

We’ve already launched a world first: a unique peer-to-peer travel money platform, helping travellers everywhere get the fairest rates and more to spend on the important things on holiday. Sangria. Bike rides. Emergency sun cream. So far, we’ve had over £200 million swapped through our apps, saving our community more than millions of pounds on unnecessary fees abroad.

But that’s just the start. We’re determined to make life good for the traveller, and we’re building a range of new products and features that will help everyone spend smarter when they explore the unknown. We want travellers everywhere to know WeSwap

We are on the hunt for an ambitious Social Media Manager to join our small but growing team at WeSwap. Reporting to the Brand Manager, you will be focussed on increasing and enhancing our social media presence - driving engagement, excitement and talkability around all things WeSwap. 

You will own our social channels, managing the daily conversation around WeSwap’s suite of products – our card, our cash offering, and next year, WeSwap for Business. We’re looking for someone with a passion for engaging multimedia content and storytelling, able to create shareable on-brand content and campaigns.

We have aggressive growth targets for 2018 with a large focus on organic social traffic, and we need a talented individual with the ability and ambition to help us hit these. If you're a whizz with social media and would like to be part of an online growth story, we’d love to hear from you


You will…

  • Be WeSwap’s digital storyteller, responsible for driving the company narrative, social growth and building excitement and awareness around the brand.
  • Own our social channels, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and anywhere else you think we should be.
  • Develop and execute a social media strategy, creating weekly reports sharing insightful and actionable insight around engagement. You should be comfortable using data to support and refine your social media strategy - knowing what works and what doesn’t, and advising others across the business
  • Write engaging articles and create engaging multimedia content such as videos - and/or outsource this effectively.
  • Form great relationships with influencers across social media platforms
  • Develop and manage competitions and campaigns that promote WeSwap and increase engagement
  • Monitor the online reputation of the businesses through social and online listening and actively manage the social communities
  • Keep your eyes on the market, competitors, trends/insights to feed into overarching social strategy.


What you’ll probably look like:

  • 2+ years of social media management, with plenty of examples of how you’ve helped companies grow their social media presence with innovative strategies and campaigns.
  • A strategic thinker with a passion for great shareable multimedia content and brand storytelling.
  • Be a natural social media journalist – always on the hunt for new ways to tell the WeSwap story in the right places, including engaging with the wider team.
  • You are an excellent communicator, both in person and in written English. You’re a dab hand at writing engaging social and longer form copy.
  • You should have experience using data to refine social strategy, and be comfortable sharing



  • £25-30k base dependant on experience
